I made this quilt to commemorate my husband’s US Navy career. This is depicting a night Cat shot off of an aircraft carrier with an EA-6B Prowler on the Catapult. There is an A3 Sky Warrior (ghost like image), the first plane that he flew in. He was the Commanding officer of the Scorpions of VAQ-132 for 18 months. 38” x 40”

Greening Mother Earth

This was a recycle challenge, we could not go and buy anything new, we could only use what we had and the 2 pieces of fabric that was given to us for the challenge. One of the fabrics was a light cream, I painted the face and the oceans on it. the Green dot fabric they gave us became the continents. I made the entire quilt on my long-arm quilting machine. 30” x 30”

Burrowville USA

I entered a Route 66 Challenge in 2012. We got to pick the location along Route 66 that we could design our quilt around it. I chose an area near Havasu Falls and Oatman, Arizona where burrows roam freely along the streets. There were 56 quilts altogether that traveled for 3 1/2 years around the USA. 18” x 22”

This quilt was made for Katie Pasquini Masopust and Brett Barkers quilt book “Color and Composition for the Creative Quilter“ in 2004. I took their 4 day workshop, that was used for the writing of this book. It was the most intense 4 day workshop or class that I have ever taken, including my computer classes. 28” x 34”
